I used to go to that one too.

Was tradition - we'd get as high as a kite then watch all the pretty lights. Then at about 1am when the bonfire had died down to not very much at all we'd watch retards and crusties vaulting the remains of the bonfire. Amazingly no-one ever got hurt.
