and clearly that is a fact, then we need competition for places in that area.

There's no way Bradders and Tettey can maintain the energy levels they showed for our good run for a whole season.

I think part of what our squad has lost a bit of this season is competition for places. Under Shambert, anyone could get dropped after any game, that is no longer the case. Partly due to Hughton's rigidity in going 4-2-3-1 or whatever you want to call it.
