Advice needed. Display model vacuum cleaner. How much should be knocked off price?
The story is as follows.
I was looking at a vacuum cleaner that I like in Currys on Sunday. It was in the sale at 100 quid. The store only had the display model left and I was given a demonstration of this model. I stated to the assistant though that i didn't want an ex display model. So he went and checked the stock at their main warehouse where they can do home deliveries. They had none there. I said that I would try and order one onlinne from their website even if it meant that i would have to wait another month or so to get a brand new one..
To cut a long story short I ordered one online and it arrived today. As soon as I saw it though i could tell it had already been opened as the box was not sealed properly and the box was slighty battered. Basically I am pretty sure that I have been sent the display model from the norwich store as the hoover does not look brand new.
I cannot get another one any where else and really like the hoover. I want to take it back to currys and say to them that i will have it but only if they knock down the price because it is an ex displayy model.
What is a reasonable amount to expect them to knock off? Bear in mind that i have been inconvenienced as well.
