Media and Message Boards

You know, one thing I find really surreal about all this romour stuff is that its been going on for months and months, why now is it suddenly such an issue? Does it detract attention from other subjects of debate perhaps?

And another thing.

Why is it that the media seem quite happy to get fill half their stories by stealing comments from the Board to cover up their own laziness when they can't be arsed to get a proper quote instead and yet now act all righteous when everyone wants to quash these "rumours"?

I've lost count of the number of articles in the EEN/EDP and on the local news that have quoted people's pseudonyms on here or used phrases like "message boards were busy with speculation today" etc, etc and we all know which one they are talking about.

Now it seems after all we've done to fill their column inches they're all now saying what a bunch of moronic idiots we all are.

No-one has been bothered about these rumours for so long but since the team started playing s**tty football it all seems to be our fault for spreading malicious gossip.
