You can read into the statements that they are waiting for other clubs to make some bids. It just looks like they are offended we are blowing them out of the water with money and wages when they consider themselves the bigger side. Its an ego thing-and not just Norwich, they'd behave in the same manner if it was Reading, Southampton, Wigan. It doesn't look good for them to lose their top player to Norwich-not as far as their ability to tempt new players is concerned or their standind with their fans and commercial partners.

If Hooper goes anywhere, it'll be to a club they consider a member of their peer group, not one they consider beneath them.

Its like us when Burnley were said to be looking to Lambert as their new Manager-we were giving it the "Burnley, how dare they, know your place" thing-and, if he had have gone their, the stiuck the Carrow Road suits would have got would have been enormous, "...one of our best assets thinks Burnley is a better option, WTF is going on here?"

Hooper, Celtic, Norwich=same thing.
