Anfield Today
Well that was all a bit of a shambles. I'm talking about the performance of our team, rather than the picturesque environs of Anfield. We were set up so cautiously and without Bassong after about 5 mins we looked a beaten team. And by jove, we were. Constantly beaten to loose balls, we looked rather like the local residents of Doddy's Knotty Ash.
But this wasn't a game that we'd marked down as an away-win, it was just the apparent capitulation that is a little concerning. We know we were without Seb and Ruddy, but on the pitch, where were Johnson and Tettey? Also Howson didn't show as a Wes replacement.
But we move on. 5 more wins will do it and secure another season.
And finally.
To the two 50'something muppets (one bald and with a stupid hat) continually gesturing to the home fans to our right. Look at yourselves, you were an embarrassment. Despite the score, several noisy renditions of OTBC, good work boys.
Dammed slippy pavements on the walk down-hill to the rail station at Sandhills.
And very finally.
Why is Grant Holt tweeting that he's out on the beer in Manchester tonight after that? Get a grip Chris.
