Mmmm yeah travelled all the way to frigging Burnley...

...and on bloody Cabbage of all things. Got as far as pulling up on a flyover with the police escort waiting to take us in whilst they f**ked about with braziers in a corner of the pitch ...only to decide it couldn't go ahead. But as I said, that was the pitch not the surrounding area outside the ground. Stupid thing was I'd already done Burnley (that excellent 3-5 in our Div One winning season) and was only going as the missus enjoyed it previously - and she pulled out ill so I was on my bloody tod! On Cabbage. To Burnley and back. FOR FUCKING NOTHING.

Had a Boxing Day/Christmas period/New Year's Day - no, I think FA Cup 3rd round game at home vs Brighton called off as the lights failed, then got fixed but we had no back-up so the rules said no. Can remember it being very snowy that year. And the Clarence Harbour still being open and hearing the announcement of the at-first delayed kick off whilst I was walking past the City stand so headed straight to the Clarence for an extra pint.

Can only think of game kick offs being slightly delayed for crowd travel probs but I'll take your examples, obvs.
