there are ways to make it interesting

use some of the narrower/s**tter roads, hope for a bit of wind. paris-roubaix works and thats pretty flat (aside from the cobbles). would probably be more interesting in a month like march than in june to be honest but then it would be competing with all the one day races on the continent
