A couple of other observations about last night...

Was very disappointed with the atmosphere. Was expecting it to be rocking. Plus the 'fans' who started to leave at 2 - 1: Have a word with yourselves.

Despite the disappointment I am encouraged that we should have beaten Villa's first team with a makeshift side. Although they were sharper with their passing we had enough chances to be out of sight before their 2nd. Morro's performance will have convinced Hughton that he needs another striker in Jan.

Also, Morro was signalling to the bench just before they scored their 2nd and didn't track his runner. I don't know if he was injured but he went straight off and was visibly pissed off when talking to Hughton.

Hughton's refusal to change the shape / subs is a little frustrating but as someone else has pointed out, is obviously part of his approach. We can hardly complain about his methods, bearing in mind the run we have been on.

Oh and I hope that we don't see 4 4 2 again this season. It really doesn't seem to work for us at the mo.
