He's a reserve keeper. Honestly, what do people expect?
Look at other teams first choices such as Reina, Cech, De Gea, Szcesny, Al Habsi, Hart, etc. They all make regular mistakes, but most of them are considered good quality keepers.
The only keepers that I can think of who are up there with John Ruddy based on form over the past 18 months are Vorm, Krul and Howard. We are lucky to have one genuinely international class keeper, lets not get greedy because our back up isn't of the same standard. He's doing okay, plus, there are far worse culprits in the team at the moment.
