The League Cup

It would be wonderful to win a cup. That's absolutely the case. But at this point in our journey the aim has to be the Premier League. That's what will bring the cash in for us to consolidate as an established Prem team.

Relegation last year would probably have seen us bounce straight back up and keep most of our players. By this point we may well lose quite a few of them if we went down this season. So we have to make sure we stay up. The silverware would have been nice but then we could end up in the Europa League which would not be the right time for us. We cannot put together the depth of squad to maintain that and stay up again next year in the Premiership.

So I'm not that gutted.

But hey winning the FA Cup would be something different :-)
