Question for The Judge

If your employer gives you a public statement of support and then proceeds to sack you, could you take them for unfair dismissal along with the other contractual repayments? In my experience we won tribunal cases if management hadn't had the balls to let staff know they were doing badly in whatever reporting system was in place. Who is the employer The Board of Directors or the Chief Executive?
