Sorry, only just caught up on your earlier cyrptic posts.
The formula you read "might do it", as you say (whatever it, was, not sure anyone has actually established that yet though tbh), would only ever give you the following 4 dates, assuming the A1 cell contained today's date:
1 Jan 2011,
1 Apr 2011,
1 Jul 2011,
1 Oct 2011
=DATE(YEAR(27/01/2011),FLOOR(MONTH(A1)-1,3)+1,1)
I guessing that's probably not what you wanted.
Hope that helps!
And please do let us know once you figure out what actually did need, because adding 91 days to the 27 Jan is a pretty weird way of counting in quarters (based on prior experience)
