We miss the protection that he offers our midfield

he does so much of the donkey work: closing down and hassling - this leaves Ashton free to concentrate on getting in the right positions.

Leon also moves out to the wing alot, just as Ash is now, and wins us loads of corners - we got alot of goals from set-pieces last season.
