Names have to start somewhere though

Who was the first person to call their child Rose, or Daisy, or Pearl, or Ruby? Or those Victorian names like Mercy, Hope or Faith? Or classical ones like Miranda or Anastasia?

If it catches on we'd get used to it soon enough
