This church vote today. Initially felt angry that it has been rejected.

But just watching the emotional response to it in the media perhaps (and bizarrely) re-enforces the argument of those opposed to it.
Women literally sobbing openly in front of TV cameras is not a great advert for a stronger church.
I've given up on the whole thing anyway. This can surely only damage the position of religion still-further in the eyes of the masses?
