Icarus. Legend has it that he flew too close to the sun and his wings fell off because the wax he used to fix his wings on melted by the heat of the Sun. Hello, I think you'll find that the higher you go the friggin' colder it gets. By the time you gor near enough to the Sun for it's radiant heat to have any effect you'd have run out of oxygen.
While I'm at it, that Aesop, I reckon he made it all up.
