Problem is you can never be 100% certain.

Clearly sacking and Worthy and replacing him with someone else is a gamble. But that doesn't mean it's the wrong thing to do.

In particular - when you say "if this season becomes a write-off then so be it" - well clearly if you were entertaining any thoughts about propmotion, this season is already a write-off whether or not we sack Worthy. The only live question now is whether we go down or not. If you don't think that's a possibility then you haven't been paying enough attention (and in particular you haven't been thinking about what the squad will look like after January, compared to how it looks now).
