Some of the chaps were wondering if you'd consider resigning? Nothing personal of course, it's just that what with the club in a flat spin, the demise of the pies, the hideous home strip and curse of the tubby oriental one we felt that you'd be more suited to swapping jobs with Sir Alex Ferguson who needs a bit of a challenge. Failing that I reckon that Aston Villa will soon be in the hunt for an exciting creative visionary unshackled by the restraints of workable tactics like yourself.

Anyway, think it over and let us know by 1700 hours.
