Young players
Just been reading comments earlier in the day regarding lack of players coming through the academy, and its something thats bugged me for a couple ofyears. When I first started taking my youngest towatch footy weused to go to the academy on a Saturday morning, and there looked to be some good young players there. The likes of Henderson(striker!!), Hayes, Sinclair, Damien Batt, Shackell and more recently Crow, Willis, Smith, Nicky Howell. But only two have made it and the rest have been released. There was the young lad Blackburn, looked good and full of running, he looked a far better option in midfield then we have now. The academy seems to have gone backwards since Adie Bothroyd left.
So why will Worthy not give them a chance, every other club does. Joe Lewis should permanently be on the bench in readiness to take over from Green, but he rarely even gets a start for the reserves. Why bring Fleming back at right back, why not give Cave-Brown a chance, lets face it at the moment they couldn't do any worse
