Today is why we love football
Dont think anyone really expected anything from today except perhaps a hiding. Maybe in my wildest dreams I though we might sneak a point if we played well.
What we got was a performance full of passion and commitment. Credit to Turner who took a big step towards rehabilitation today. Bassong is simply immense. Tettey and Johnson give us some muscle in the centre. Ruddy looks twice as calm and authoritative as last season. Wes was magic and Holty getting back to his old self. Throw in the best atmosphere at CR for a long time and a bit of "reconnecting" between the fans and the team and it wad simply an excellent day. Really feel our season started properly today and am now optimistic we can kick on.
