Agree, but don't gerbils work hard going round and round and round those wheely things?
Not sure they get very far. Perhaps people should take a bit more responsibility for the types of work they choose to do sometimes. We all have different starts in life, and mine was definitely not one of luxury (far far from it in fact), but we all also have a lot of free choice to specialise in whatever we think will give us the best future.
I don't begrudge people who have made more than me, as it's fair play, if I want to carve out a future the way they've done, and I'm really really motivated and driven, then those possibilities exist.
I'm definitely not saying it's easy, but it's still my choice as to what I want from life, work hard for loadsa money (take a few big gambles along the way, dragons den/alan sugar style), or work hard in a safe comfort zone where less risks are taken and know the financial rewards and limitations as a result.
So, yes, if loaded people have loadsa assets and dosh, part of me thinks well done for either earning it or just keeping it if inherited etc, and part of me thinks, when times are hard they also need to contribute to our recovery but not be unfairly punished just because less fortunate/determined/risk-taking people think it's right
