soz, missed it, but my bro-in-law suffers from sciatica....
althoughs he's kept himself quite fit, at 50 yrs old, the tennis he plays is catching up on him....
he does the following exercises which help his back:
1 - hang by the arms, full body weight stretches out the back....say's he feels the vertabrae click back into position!
2 - lays face down on the floor, legs together out behind you but off to one side, then push both legs into the middle to get the straight agaisnt a fixed oject, then swap and push from the other side.....
3 - sit on the kitchen table, raise both feet up together, keeping back straight...legs upto 90 degrees....all slow, doing it ten times...
swears these exercises help his back.
