it's one of those footy-ironic figures of speech that are somehow accepted. But I don't think it should be. I'm hardly Mr Politically Correct (see my post on Laura Trott for evidence!) but I think joking about rape crosses a line that shouldn't be crossed. Again, nothing personal: plenty do it and I'm not having a go at you individually, it's more a comment on the fact that it's deemed acceptable when I don't think it should be.
