My glimmer of hope is that, as Newcastle and he got to know one another, they got dicked 5-0 pre season by Leyton Orient and, even then, it was doom and gloom up there. Now they worship him-and got it right, eventually.

We're more likely to lose him if the ROI job comes up-and if he is feeling the pressure here when that happens, he might be tempted.

I wonder why he doesn't give the diamond a chance as it so clearly suits the players and they are familiar with it-its also very offensive when needed, but, equally, can be defensively strong. XXL said yesterday he wanted to go his way, not the Lambert way, hence the difference in the way we play.

Managers that cut their nose off to spite their faces-if that is the case-don't last long; from Clough at Leeds to AVB at Chelsea....but don't see it here...
