Surely last season's team needed a little more solidity?
There was no way were going to reach the heights of last season, lambert knew this. Hughton probably look at last season's videos and as a former defender saw all the mistakes and decided that was were to start.
The manager picks the team so it is kinda his way, whether or not it works is another thing. Plus the squad of players is to a degree picked by him. Lets see in a month's time and then start making decisions because at the moment with injuries to key players, I'm not sure how much more attacking we could be without conceding more goals (10 in 2 games aside). We have created a load of chances this season, maybe not as clear cut but I think you could pick out 4 or 5 chances in each of the games where we should have scored.
