A single losing bet means nothing
It's all about the averages (over a significant time period) and bookies will always win overall, obviously, as there will always been winners AND losers amongst the Non Bookies, and the bookies set odds in their favour (hedged/arbitrage theory etc)
Doesn't mean you can't still cream off a portion of those substantial bookies' profits by doing better (relatively) than the "average" punter
