Laptop/USB keypad techy help please

Got a new work laptop running windows 7 (Dell Vostro)

My USB keypad will not type numbers, but the home, pgup, pgdn buttons work. (I've tried pressing numlock)

Ive also tried turning off mouse keys.

Any ideas?
