Could've given us a few seasons in the prem at least.

Wasn't exactly like he was/is the finished article yet himself, keeping us up each season would've done his CV wonders, compared to missing out on hitting the high expectations elsewhere. Although I might just be overly-optimistic here, and he goes and proves us wrong - guess only the final league table will tell
