I don't know very much about the legality of contracts and transfers

but the message I was refering to in my original post on this subject said "We have a two year option on Safri, so his contract doesn't officially expire". Maybe that is incorrect but it does come from the club and if his contract is not about to expire surely he cannot talk to other clubs at the moment? I did google it as you suggested and found lots to say these two clubs are interested and might be preparing bids but that does not mean we have to accept a bid, we may well accept one, but the good news is we don't have to, so if he does go at the very least, its reassuring to know someone will have to pay good money for him.
