Yes. We can't sign any players contracted to other clubs until January

on loan or otherwise. And if we didn't sign anyone who wasn't contracted, they wouldn't be able to play for us until January, unless they were U21 at the start of the year, because we named a full 25-man squad and so have no availalbe places.
