Tech Help Required

Looking for a new desktop computer. Want something with fairly decent specs but it is primarily for home use, so doesn't have to be too fancy. Price range ?600-?700. It isn't for me and because i've always had macs no idea what's good and bad in terms of brands... but ideally would like it to be one i've heard of! Any recommendations?
