I do rate Lallana but
I just think both Pilks and Dyer are more deserving of a call up both in terms of current form and last season.
Lallana has potential. he looks a decent player but he has yet to do anything at the top level.
Pilks got 8 (I think) goals last season. I would be interested to look back at a list of midfielders who have got 8 goals in the premiership over the course of a season and see how many are not full internationals.
Yes he had a dip of form mid season (not helped by lambert changing the team all the time) but last two games he was back on song and caused all sorts of problems.
I just want to see england caps earnt on merit and dished out fairly. My biggest fear is that players will start to think they have to leave us to sit on the bench at bigger clubs to get an England call-up. Particlularly since that senile old t**t Hodgson seems to have gone into pro-Liverpool overdrive since becoming England manager.
indeed Johnson, howson and Pilks p*8sed all over Livermore who is perhaps the most inexplicable selection. Even spurs fans think he's sh*t!
