Wonder how Russell would have done in the Championship under Lambert.
He was excellent in league 1 as a holding midfielder, hadn't played there before. If he hadn't f**ked around with the contract stuff and taken what was on offer he wouldn't have ended up at Preston and the continuity might have seen him become a much better player, as good as a lot of us thought he'd be when he was 17. Oh well.
