that think his doping at the very least rapidly advanced his cancer, if indeed it didn't cause it. He was using corticosteroids which supress the immunes system, and HGH (growth hormone) which would spread the cancer a lot more quickly around his body.

He was also taking testosterone supplements (also PEDs) and the relevant masking agents which means the cancer did not get picked up until a very advanced stage.

The guy is a fraud on every level. Massively doping, paying the UCI off and being a sanctimonious bully throughout.
