FAO Simon OTBC - re Ltd Co etc......

I work for a Marine Consultancy in Aberdeen which also has a large Marine and Offshore manning and recruitment business.

Generally speaking, if you are a sole trader, an agency will have to deduct Income Tax and NIC to keep things right for them with HMRC and their auditors.

If you are a Ltd Co, the agency will require copies of your Certificate of Incorporation and your VAT Registration and will not then deduct Tax or NIC.

Hope that helps?
