notice the tip of the diamond still exists but with more cover for the defence (remember how we conceded a f**k load of goals over the last 3 years?) The system works the exact same way but with more cover without the ball and is actually more offensive than the original diamond with the ball because you can actually commit the 3 am's as well as the striker at the same time AND another of the dm's (Howson) and still have the anchor or a Tettey infront of the defence. Anyone who had played football at a decent level would understand how this system works and the similar aspects to the old diamond but with more security. The squad is very much ready for this natural step and trust me Lambert would have made this same step this summer as we could not go on considing the goals we were. He'd have made us more solid too.
