I'd class that as a fact. As is his ankle operation.
Quite why certain people have seen fit to post some of the most appalling and libellous bulls**t you'll ever see, I really can't understand. And I note it's always from a "friend-of-a-friend's cousin's auntie's milkman" or some other such unimpeachable source.
