the British Broadcasting Company's office, London, where messages meet their intended recipient at speeds that would make the Royal Mail weep, I could not help but observe that there was a lack of stories flying around the assorted press like a lark regarding our fine club, Norwich City FC.

So my question, dear readers, is this. Do you, whose eyes, deepset amongst chiselled faces, scour for news, think that we shall see the arrival of that player, that goal scoring striker, who shall surely see us arrive into the place of "established" Premier League Team?

And if so, I shall be the first to cheer.

But David McNally, he shall just chuckle, maybe let a grin play across his stubbled chin, as he pokes at his voodoo doll of Paul Lambert. A chat with the boys later, yes, no doubt, but this is a man who knew what was coming
