recent transfer policy seems to have changed

we were going for young hungry up and coming players on reasonable money. now we signing two not quite set the world alight journey men on presumably large wages one of whom reportedly is our biggest ever signing but leaves me and other fans cold. i am worried that we have just spent alot of money on not much...
