Should have seen the writing on the wall really, I guess the first game optimism distracted most (including myself) from the obvious.

We still need a quality CDM who can move the ball quickly. He doesn't need to be creative, just solid, organised and slick when moving the ball. If Hughton doesn't realise we need this type of player (especially considering Fox is out) then that is a massive short coming. Would rather we had spent ?3 million on a player like this rather than a position where both E.Bennett and Howson can play. Still time (and hopefully money!) to buy a quality midfield enforcer.

Otherwise, he must be given time, he has signed three defenders, two of which weren't available. Let's judge hime when he has his (close as possible) first XI available for half a dozen games.
