Really good post, agree with pretty much everything

but it's a bit unfair to write Turner off after one game, it's not as if he's a ridiculous gamble like Theo was. Turner has plenty of prem experience and a reasonably good enough reputation.

Still time to add quality, let's just hope that Hughton is aware enough of the short comings and the board are sensible enough to assist him with the cash to bring a good cm and possibly a striker.

Obviously a lot hinges on the potential ability of Whitaker and Garrido seeing as R.Martin is never going to be a prem quality full back while Tierney can be class going forward but has never been a patch on the now departed Drury (who is the standard for acceptable defensive performances at this level as a left back, for us anyway) when trying to take a winger out of the game. Unfortunately, the word is that Garrido isn't much of a defender either!

If Hughton wants to concentrate on being more defensive then a lot of things will have to fall together in order to make it a successful strategy, I'm willing to give him a dozen games to get it together, if we're still a shambles after that then I will be severely worried.
