I hate to say it but the warning signs were there at the end of last season....

I stated this before and have been shot down and derided by many on this board.
We had a poor run at the end of last season where we seemed to run out of steam or get found out. If the season had gone on for maybe 3-4 more games then I felt we would have been relegated. I felt that we needed 5-6 new, quality first team players if we were to avoid relegation this season. Lambert felt the squad needed major work done on it and publicly stated this.
Lambert knew that the money was not there to do this and he left for Villa.
