Brief summary
We had more of the ball than against Ajax.
Turner and Bennett did fine.
Tierney a little off the pace.
It started as a 4-4-1-1, but Holt was very isolated so after they scored Snod seemed to virtually play alongside Holt up front (personally think we'd be better off with a striker playing in a striker's role).
Johnson would have been sent off before half time in a league game for a series of mis-timed tackles.
Howson played quite deep alongside Johnson.
Bennett and Pilks had a nice run around in the sunshine without really looking very dangerous.
Holt is still a little on the large side, but kept running for the 90 minutes and did some good things.
Surman kept kicking the ball off.
I don't know what to think really. It was a friendly, so probably nothing.
But still think we need another striker, left back and some pace at centre back, and a better DM than Johnson.
