Glad I ain't a merkin, living in a merka.
NBC are exclusive broadcasters of the 2012 Olympics.
They came under criticism for not showing the opening ceremony live, but chopped up in recorded form and broadcast during US prime time, so they can maximise commercial revenue.
I'm reliably informed many events have also been shown on a delayed/recorded basis... including Bolt's record-breaking Olympic victory in the 100m final... which will be screened in around 3 hours time for east coast viewers, longer for those on the west coast.
Way to go NBC. Where's the drama in recorded major sporting events? Utter numpties. You what? Oh, you'll be right back after these messages......
