I did see it earlier

but to be honest I didn't think about it. I think my answer would have been that we can't possibly know from that limited information. I'd ask a string of questions about the woman and her sister. I don't think I would have linked the murder to either the mother or the man though, I'd have presumed there was an issue between the two sisters but I wouldn't have thought a 'strange man' could have been big enough an issue for a murder.
