depends how big a spender you are

If you're a billy big bollocks and fly a lot then BA Amex is a very good deal at the moment, but there's an annual fee of ?100+ so you'd need to spend a lot for it to be worthwhile. BA and Virgin both do a free version for lower spenders but you won't get as many miles or reward points per ? spent.

Capital One or Santander for pure cash back probably though won't get much more than 1% on average when out of promotional period.

Or Tesco, Nectar etc worth a look if you're into Clubcards and the like.
