I think next year was always going to be hard
Despite our lack of transfer business, it's very positive that we've retained Ruddy, Fox, R Martin, Hoolahan and Holt, players like Pilks, Surman and Elliot Bennett have more Premiership experience and Simeon Jackson and Morison really began picking up confidence towards the end of last season and may well come into their own this season. Plus it seems that Johnny Howson is pretty special too.
I admit I'm not massively bowled over by Whittaker and Butterfield but then I don't really know them. Are they left, right or central? I'm not really fussed if we do or don't sign Snodgrass.
It's good to have Chris Martin back and maybe we'll see something from him next season.
What we urgently need is a solid replacement for Drury.
