I've always reserved judgement

Never thought he was great but prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

He was poor tactically but very good at the motivation/team spirit side.
And he was fairly new to management and potentially still learning. I was therefore happy to say we should definitely keep him - I have NEVER suggested getting rid of him before now.

I have only reluctantly changed my mind this season because:
1) he shows no signs whatsoever of learning but still treats the midfield as a mere inconsequential afterthought.
2) he appears to have actually lost his motivational abilities.

This means that rather than learning and becoming a better manager he is actually becoming a worse one. And he is not a new manager any more and cannot use that as an excuse. If he hasn't learned by now I'm afraid he probably never will.
