Yes I think he does want to be first across the line in Paris but would dragging himself up those mountains wreck his gold medal chances in the Olympics?

I`m of the thought that he`ll pull out once it gets into the mountains. He said in his post race interview that Sky where going for yellow, so basically he`s on his own.
